Canyon Safety Workshop
The Canyon Safety Workshop is a one-day seminar, which is designed for Bushwalkers, Rockclimbers and Abseilers who are keen to apply their existing experience and skills in the canyoning environment. While not as intensive as the Canyon Leaders Course, attending this workshop will be of great benefit to all keen outdoors people determined to get their feet wet in a canyon!

Canyon Leaders Course
Canyons are some of the most beautiful and thoroughly exhilarating natural environments one could ever hope to experience. However, like any wilderness journey, canyon excursions can also be hazardous and even dangerous to the unwary, the careless, or the inexperienced. Effective leadership is easily the most critical element in ensuring the correct management, safe conduct and successful outcome of any canyoning expedition.
The ASM Canyon Leaders Course is a four-day course designed to provide participants with the skills and techniques required to become capable Canyon Leaders, and will give you the foundation for further qualification. If you choose to do so, ASM will provide participants with the opportunity to return at a later date for work experience, and will organise your assessment for qualification in Single-Pitch Natural Surface Abseiling ($560 paid upon booking your assessment). Intending participants are required to possess certain pre-requisites prior to course commencement. The Canyon Leaders Course is ideal training for School Teachers, Outdoor Education Staff, Climbing Instructors and Adventure Training Leaders.
